About Deliesha Durden|Therapist in Raleigh, NC
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you feel safe enough to be fully seen.
If you’ve been carrying a lot, showing up for everyone else, or trying to hold your relationship together while quietly struggling, you’re not alone.
I work with individuals and couples in Raleigh, NC and virtually across North Carolina and South Carolina who are ready for something to feel different—more grounded, more connected, and more supported.
WHO I WORK WITH
I specialize in working with:
-
Couples navigating disconnection, conflict, and communication struggles
-
Partners working through betrayal, infidelity, and rebuilding trust
-
Individuals and couples experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, and postpartum transitions
-
People who are used to being the strong one—but are feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or exhausted
Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, grief, or identity shifts, therapy can be a space where you don’t have to hold it all alone anymore.

Hello, I'm Deliesha,
Hey y’all! I’m Deliesha—your passionate, grounded, and deeply understanding black therapist here at On the Horizon Counseling, based in Raleigh, NC. I’m all about creating a space where you can show up fully, feel safe, and be met with care that actually gets it.
When I’m not supporting individuals and couples through relationship challenges, betrayal, infertility, pregnancy loss, and postpartum transitions in Raleigh, NC and virtually across North Carolina and South Carolina, I’m also navigating life in very real ways myself.
I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult (and yes, my current stim is “Nah, we cousins”), and I’ve walked my own journey through infertility and pregnancy loss. I’m a proud part of the #Iam1in4 community, and I’m also a wife who deeply understands how these experiences can shape a relationship in ways you don’t expect.
My husband and I have been through a lot together—including becoming parents to our three angel babies, August, Gideon, and Luna, and raising our incredible daughter, my “bean pie,” Maya. Those experiences are not just part of my story—they’re part of what allows me to sit with you in yours with empathy, depth, and understanding that goes beyond textbook knowledge.
And in true life balance fashion—when I’m not in therapist mode, you might find me shaking “that thang” in a Zumba class, traveling, getting lost in anime (because One Piece is absolutely the GOAT), or cooking up something good in the kitchen.
Oh—and I can’t forget our fur baby, Luffy, who keeps life full of unconditional love (even without a tail to wag).
At the end of the day, this work is about connection. It’s about helping you feel more grounded, more understood, and more supported—whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, grief, identity shifts, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life.
So if you’re looking for therapy in Raleigh, NC or virtual therapy across North Carolina or South Carolina that feels human, affirming, and real—I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Let’s connect and explore what this next chapter can look like for you. 💛
MY WHY
My work in this space is deeply personal.
Navigating infertility and pregnancy loss without the support I needed impacted me in ways I couldn’t have anticipated—including how it showed up in my relationship.
I know what it feels like to carry grief while still trying to function, to be the strong one while quietly struggling, and to feel unseen in moments that matter most.
That experience shaped how I show up in this work.
I became the support I once needed—so you don’t have to navigate this alone.
